Jamie Smed’s Rose Lavelle photo featured on HYPE trading card
The work of Soc Takes staff photojournalist Jamie Smed has been featured by HYPE trading cards on a Rose Lavelle rookie card.
Smed’s photo of the U.S. women’s national team and Washington Spirit attacker appears in HYPE’s 2019 line and is available for purchase at RookieCards.com. According to the website, it’s the first-ever officially licensed Rose Lavelle trading card.
The price of the card ranges from $20 for the standard version to $300 for the exclusive purple Masterpiece one. Various other limited-run editions are available at price points in between.
Both Lavelle and Smed are from Cincinnati, making the HYPE rookie card a local collaboration of sorts. Smed joined Soc Takes in 2019 and shoots everything from the men’s and women’s U.S. national teams to the NWSL and MLS.
