MLS announces 2017 Best XI

MLS released its annual Best XI for the 2017 season on Thursday.

Tim Melia (Sporting KC) earned the nod in net, joined in the back by defenders Kendall Watson (Vancouver Whitecaps FC), Justin Morrow (Toronto FC) and Ike Opara (Sporting KC).

The midfield selections were Miguel Almiron (Atlanta United FC), Diego Valeri (Portland Timbers) and Victor Vazquez (Toronto FC).

Forwards David Villa (New York City FC), Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto FC), Josef Martinez (Atlanta United FC) and Nemanja Nikolic (Chicago Fire) rounded out the 2017 MLS Best XI.
